A Bed Of Red Roses

I love my girlfriend Alexis very much. She really is the love of my life. I have wanted to propose to her for awhile now, but wanted it to be in a special sort of way. I got my chance one day when she went to spend the day with her family, who lives an hour away. It gave me just enough time to set everything up.

I bought 1,000 of her favorite flowers, red roses, from a man I knew who could sell me literally bushels of them at wholesale cost.

I went home and spread them to cover the entire bed from head to toe. I wrote a note that said "A bed of roses for you. I love you." I made a trail of red roses from the entry way to the bedroom.

Just as I finished, I heard her car pull into the driveway. I hid myself in the closet and waited.

She opened the door and screamed my name in excitement. She walked straight to the bedroom and yelled "Oh, my goodness!"

I opened the closet door with a happy smile on my face, went to her, got down on one knee, and I think you have a pretty good idea what happened next.

(She said "Yes")
