Autumn Shades And Harmony Poem

Autumn is the season of pumpkin, cinnamon, and apple pie. Leaves spiraling to the ground, into mounds for my childlike pleasure ... belly-flop onto the piles and throw the leaves into the air to watch their colorful descent.

In autumn each year my birthday arrives. My childhood memories are colored by the reds, browns, greens and yellows of fall as the backdrop for outdoor parties in the crisp autumn temperatures.

I am an artist now, and am compelled to capture and reproduce this kaleidoscope of fall colors.

The most beautiful autumn spectacle of all is the autumn sunset. It paints the sky with the reds, oranges, and yellows of fall, as well as the purples, pinks, and blues of a sunset.

It is a panorama that fills me with peace, tranquility, harmony, and love.

Autumn Shades and Harmony,
a Poem

Spiraling, whirling, twirling we fall,
we are part of a higher order.
Red, yellow, green, I love you all
as we descend to mix with water.

I am a leaf, share existence with many
but strive only to do my part.
We greet the earth together in harmony,
preparing for winter and spring’s start.

We paint the canopy in vibrant shades,
reveal the beauty inherent in all.
We hope our tranquil and soothing displays
will capture and share the essence of fall.
