Best Red Rose Apology!

My boyfriend of 7 months and I had just had our first argument. Looking back on it, it was trivialities, yet it seemed like a huge deal at the time. We had been living together for almost a month, and it was just him and I.

Nerves had started to fray, and we argued. We had been giving each other a wide berth for almost a week. I was so upset by it all that I had started to look for a new place to live.

But one night, he came home with the most gorgeous bunch of roses I have ever seen. They were lusciously deep red, and there were more roses than I had ever seen together at one time -even in movies!

He gave them to me, kissed me and apologized for everything ... I couldn't have been more relieved! It lead to the most wonderful night together yet, and I realized how deeply I loved him.

The roses were removed from the bunch, one by one by my boyfriend. And for every rose he pulled out, he gave a reason he loved me: from my eyes, to the way I always cared for him, even when he is being a slob. It was so romantic, I cannot believe that I didn't just marry him there!

We are happily married now, yet I still remember those roses and the wonderful evening they lead to. If it wasn't for that evening -and those roses- things may well have been different!
