"December holidays are eclipsed by the excitement of Christmas."
Christmas is probably the most popular holiday in December, followed by the arrival of the New Year. But among youngsters, Christmas is often their favorite holiday of the whole year (along with their birthday :) Who can resist for long the jolly symbols of Christmas that begin to appear even before we've finished the turkey leftovers from Thanksgiving?
... they all conspire to wear down our defenses until even the Scrooges among us give in just a little! Winter officially arrives in the northern hemisphere this month. For many people it's a welcome time of "cocooning" and tending the home fires. Also this month we remember Pearl Harbor, celebrate Kwanzaa, and commemorate the historic contribution of Wilbur and Orville Wright.
