Raj's Midnight Birthday Surprise!

 Day of Raj's birthday feast

Day of Raj's birthday feast

This is one of my personal experiences, about a friend's birthday celebration in Chennai, India. It was around 10 p.m. in the evening when I heard my door knocking. It was my friend who said "Hey Zayn, tomorrow is Raj's birthday."

This is how everything began. We decided to get him a gift, but no idea yet what kind.

We decided to give him a greeting card that we make ourselves. I picked some flowers in my garden, brought them quickly and separated the petals. My friend made a outline of the card with a chart sheet. Now I pasted the petals with glue on front page to look like a flower blooming out in the greeting card. The interior decoration was done as well. Now it was around 11:30.

All our friends whom we had informed earlier were assembled together. We bought a chocolate creamed cake. Then we departed to Raj's house.

Exactly 3 minutes before midnight, we reached there. Raj's mother opened the door for us and also informed that he was sleeping in his bedroom. We all went in with the cake. It was lit with a single candle, and his name written with vanilla cream.

The lights were off, and Raj was sleeping. His mother woke him up lightly and we all started to sing the "Happy Birthday" song.

He was shocked at first but soon came to his senses. He cut the cake and gave the first piece to his mother. Soon, we all shared the cake.

His mom had already prepared a traditional Indian birthday feast for us. We enjoyed the food, partied, and had a sleepover at his house.

The next day we went for camping and had a great time!
